http://www.glosters.org.uk/The Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum web site employs cutting edge web technology which combines the digital archives of the museum with the web thereby enabling users to see and in some cases download archive material. We have just embarked on this process and have for example, uploaded our database of all officers and soldiers who served in the 24 Battalions of The Gloucestershire Regiment during the First World War. We have a demanding programme to upload more of our archives but would appreciate your ideas as to what we should upload next; Second World War officers and soldiers, Korean War or the names and details of those who served in the 19th Century? Please give us your views.
The forum has been introduced so that we can better understand what our customers want from our web site, our Museum and our Museum Shop.
Our web site receives many hits from all over the world. Please register and post a message as only registered users can post messages. Registering is easy - just follow the prompts.
We have also included some Friends Newsletters for free downloading. Look under Friends on this Message Board. We hope to add more recent editions shortly.
